Valeon
Writing on capital, technology, and meaning — and the harder questions they raise about how to live.
Valeon is a publication about the forces that shape modern life — capital, technology, incentives, belief — and the harder questions they raise about how to live well. We write to understand, not to win: to follow an argument where it leads, and to stay honest about what remains uncertain.
What you'll find
- Long-form essays across finance, philosophy, and technology
- Series that develop one argument over several pieces — not isolated takes
- Working frameworks for markets, risk, and decisions under uncertainty
- The occasional poem or visual essay, when prose isn't the right tool
How we work
- Plain language and first principles; definitions before claims
- Respect for complexity, with no hiding behind jargon
- Sources where claims meet evidence
- Drafts we revisit — publishing as an ongoing argument, not a final verdict
Values & posture
Humility
We hold conclusions loosely and arguments to a high standard. Reason is a process, not a possession.
Integrity
We try to keep three things aligned: what is true, what is useful, and what is humane.
Courage
We look squarely at power, incentives, and our own illusions — and let what we find change what we do.
Who's behind it
Valeon is written by Sayed H. Fatimi, a writer and markets analyst working at the intersection of structure, behavior, and meaning. He is the author of the Whispers of Reason trilogy and the Beyond Kings and Thrones series, and his essays connect liquidity and incentives with the questions of an ethical life.
